The Bible Says:
• Romans 3:23 --- For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

We have all sinned. We are all sinners, from the best of us down to the worst of us. Before the Holy God who created all things we are all morally guilty, because we cannot, on our own, live up to the Holy life God expects of us.

• Romans 5:8 --- But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
But even though we are sinners, guilty before a Holy God, God loves us very much, and has actively lavished His love upon us by sending his only Son, Christ Jesus, into this world to identify with us as a man, and to die in our place as payment for our sins! Even while we were still in our sin He did this for us!

What a marvelous love God has for us, to pay our penalty for us by the sacrifice of His only Son! Jesus came to be our Kinsman Redeamer; Our kinsman, because He, the true and Holy God, chose be born into the world as a man and take upon Himself a "tent" of human flesh, to be subject to the same temptations as ourselves, and then to pay our penalty for us by His death on the cross. Our redeamer, because He, being the true and Holy God, had the power and the right to pay the penalty for EVERY person, and because He himself was perfect and never sinned he could pay the penalty for us. As man, he was tempted just as we are, but, "for the joy that was set before him" (that is, the joy of our salvation), he was able resist the temptation as He continued to pray to God The Father, in obedience to The Father, go to the cross and die for us. Yet as God, his solitary death on the cross, could pay for every sin of every person.

• Romans 6:23 --- For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
You see, the penalty for our sin is death, but God, in the person of Jesus Christ, not only paid the penalty for each and every one of us but offers us instead, eternal life. The only way we can pay the penalty is to die for our own sins; but then we are dead in our sins. But Jesus, being God, could pay for everybody's sins, and also, give us the gift of eternal life and invite us to live with Him for eternity! You see, all we are is dead if we pay for our own sins; we are dead, and have no right to come into God's "house" to live with Him. But as we accept God's free gift, He gives us eternal life and invites us to His "house" forever. (In fact, the Bible says He adopts us as sons!)

• Romans 10:9-10 --- That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Jesus died to pay the penalty for everybody's sins; but each person must choose to accept this free gift. If you refuse to accept this gift, you cannot enjoy the benefits the gift contains. A gift is given, not earned. But unless you take the gift as it is proffered, and personally thank the giver, you cannot recive the gift. You must choose to communicate your acceptance to the giver in order to recieve the gift;
To "confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus" means that you must agree with God that 1) you are a sinner, that you deserve to die for your sins; 2) you cannot save yourself, nor can you invite yourself into God's "house"; 3) Jesus must be Lord of your life because you, in your own power can never live up to God's Holy standard of perfection, but through the power He gives you as you surrender to Him, you can live a Holy life (and, because Jesus paid the penalty for your sins, He "bought you with a price" and has a right to your life, in exchange for which, you will be adopted as God's son or daughter and be a "joint heir with Jesus", inheriting God's riches at Christ's expense!)

This salvation depends on Jesus' death to pay the penalty for your sins; it also depends on the fact the God raised Jesus from the dead. If Jesus did not arise from the dead then how can He give you eternal life? God's word says that Jesus rose again from the dead and ever lives to make intercession for you. If you don't believe that Jesus rose again and is alive forever, how can you have hope in Him for your future? Also, if you don't believe He rose from the dead, then you are calling God a lier and are failing to allow Jesus to be Lord of your life. You must take God at His word.

An Engraved Invitation

Isaiah 49:16 --- Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands...

You have just received an engraved invitation from Jesus Christ, the God of the Universe, to come into His kingdom and live with Him forever! He died on a cross for you. When the nails pierced His hands, you were engraved upon His hands! Those nail scars on His hands will for eternity proclaim the sacrifice He became for you! Jesus stands before you now, with His nail-scarred hands outstreatched, waiting to welcome you into His arms of love; waiting to welcome you into His kingdom forever; waiting to present you as an adopted son or daughter to God The Father...

Are you willing now to accept Jesus Christ as your Savior, and Lord? Are you willing now to turn from your sin and turn to Jesus Christ and be reconciled to God?

If your answer is Yes then all you need to do now is talk to God right now; tell Him that you know you are a sinner, that you need a savior since you cannot save yourself, that you know that He died on the cross for your sins and rose again from the dead, that you want Him to cleans you from your sin and come into your life as Savior and Lord, that you want Him to empower you to live a holy life before God by sending His Holy Spirit to live inside you and guide you. If you mean it from your heart, you can pray the model prayer presented below, known as the sinner's prayer, to accept Jesus Christ, be saved, and enter God's kingdom to live with Him forever as His son or daughter...

"Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner and that I cannot save myself. Lord Jesus, I ask you to be my Savior, to forgive my sins, to cleans me by the power of your blood shed for me on the cross. I ask you, Lord Jesus, to come into my life and be the Lord of my life. My life is yours to direct. Dear Lord Jesus, I ask you to send your Holy Spirit to come live inside me to empower me to live for you and to teach me your will. I thank you for dying for me and saving me. I thank you for the gift of your Holy Spirit and the guidance He will give to me. I thank you for adopting me as your son/daughter. I pray this in Jesus' name. Amen."
